Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi is hill and forest country on Chhattisgarh's northern rim, and its vehicles work long, winding legs. Jeeps and taxis meet trains at Pendra Road and climb to Amarkantak across the state line, private buses run down to Bilaspur, and pickups carry paddy, kodo-kutki, mahua and tendu leaves from Marwahi villages to collection centres. Owners often follow all this from Gaurela or even Bilaspur. A fuel level sensor lets them see the tank as well as the route: a probe in the diesel tank reads the level, the tracker adds the place, and the phone shows both.

BearTech's fuel monitoring system for GPM is sold as one package at ₹19,999 per vehicle. It contains a Teltonika FMB920 tracker, one sensor of your choice among Omnicomm LLS-AF 4, Mercetech and Mielta Fantom, which all cost the same, the fitting and calibration, a Trakzee Premium login on phone and computer, an Airtel data SIM and a year of warranty with AMC. Expect live litres, refill entries with dates, sudden-drop alerts and mileage reports. Hill slopes and sloshing affect any reading, but on a sound, properly calibrated tank it holds near 95% of the true level. The system informs; it does not lock tanks or hold anyone back. An executive travels from Bhopal to fit it, at the client's travel and stay cost. Call or WhatsApp 97526 44035.

Hill bends, sal forest and mist: what a GPM reading can and cannot tell you

It is worth starting with honesty, because hill districts test any fuel reading. BearTech states an accuracy of about 95% on a sound tank after proper fitting and calibration. That is a practical working figure. It assumes the tank is not badly dented or rusted inside, that nothing inside the tank crowds the probe, and that the diesel is free of water and sludge. Older jeeps and pickups that have spent years on rough tracks may need a tank check first.

Gradient is the big local factor. On the climb towards Amarkantak or the bends between Pendra and Marwahi, the tank tilts and the diesel shifts to one end, so the probe reads a different height from what it would on flat ground. Potholes and forest tracks make the fuel slosh. That is why the graph wobbles while a vehicle moves. When you want to judge a refill or a loss, compare readings taken with the vehicle parked on level ground, before and after.

Signal is the second factor. The tracker sends data over an Airtel SIM, and in forested hills coverage can thin out. The live view then pauses and catches up once the tracker reaches signal again. A pause is a coverage gap, not a sign that anything went wrong. Tell us the stretches where calls drop on your routes.

The commercial limits are simple. Wireless sensor batteries are consumables outside warranty. BearTech accepts no returns, refunds or exchanges, so settle tank details first. And the system only reports and alerts; it does not lock the tank or keep anyone away from the diesel. If your vehicle or tank is unusual, ask before ordering.

A taxi to Amarkantak, a Bilaspur bus, a mahua pickup and a tractor: four GPM stories

The Amarkantak taxi. A jeep owner at Pendra Road meets the morning train and drives visitors up the hill to Amarkantak and back. Over a week the fuel report sets each hire's diesel against its distance. The uphill run costs more than a flat trip of equal length, and the record finally puts a number on it. Next season he can quote hill hires with that figure in mind.

The Bilaspur bus. A private operator runs a bus from Gaurela to Bilaspur and back each day. Its consumption per trip stays close to steady, so when one day shows a refill that the tank cannot fully account for, the owner checks the slip against the rise on the graph. The record turns a vague doubt into one specific entry to ask about, with time and place attached. Over a quarter, the bus's steady figures also help when fares are revised.

The mahua pickup. In the dry months a trader in Marwahi sends a pickup around villages to collect mahua flowers and tendu leaves. The trip has many short stops. The graph shows a gentle slide through the day and one refill at a pump on the Pendra road, with no sharp falls. The record confirms an ordinary, honest trip and gives the trader a diesel cost per collection round.

The farm tractor. A farmer near Gaurela uses a tractor for ploughing after the rains and hauling paddy after harvest. Read together, ignition hours and the level record show litres burned per hour of work. When that number creeps up while the work stays the same, the tractor goes for servicing. The record points to the engine, not to a person.

Pendra Road, the hill climb and the Bilaspur road: where GPM's diesel is spent

Before choosing a fuel monitoring system, look at how vehicles in this district actually use diesel. Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi was formed from Bilaspur in 2020 and sits on the northern edge of Chhattisgarh. Anuppur in Madhya Pradesh lies across the line to the north, with Bilaspur, Mungeli and Korba as neighbours inside the state. Gaurela is the headquarters, and Pendra and Marwahi are the other two tehsils. Sal forest and hills cover much of the land, close to the Achanakmar-Amarkantak forest belt.

Passenger traffic is the steadiest user. Pendra Road station sits on the rail line towards Anuppur and Katni, and many visitors step off there to travel on to Amarkantak, the plateau where the Narmada and the Son rise, just across the state line. Jeeps, taxis and buses carry them up and down through the year, with peaks around Mahashivratri and Narmada Jayanti. Hill driving with frequent stops and starts uses more diesel per kilometre than plain roads.

Farm and forest produce set the seasonal rhythm. Paddy moves after the monsoon harvest, kodo-kutki millets follow, and in the dry months mahua flowers and tendu leaves go from villages to collection centres. Pickups and tractors work long hours then. The road to Bilaspur carries trucks with building material, private buses and school vehicles from Gaurela and Pendra.

Each of these vehicles empties its tank in a different way: the taxi on climbs, the bus on a fixed daily run, the pickup in many short stops, the tractor in hours of field work. A per-vehicle record with dates and places is the plain way to see those differences, rather than one combined diesel bill at the month's end.

When the executive comes from Bhopal: fitting day in Gaurela, Pendra or Marwahi

BearTech is based in Bhopal and has no team in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi. For your order, an executive travels from Bhopal to the place where the vehicle stands, whether that is a taxi stand near Pendra Road station, a bus yard in Gaurela or a farm near Marwahi. The client pays for travel and stay, and BearTech states that amount before you place the order. Delivery of the hardware takes about 2 working days, stock permitting, and the visit is then planned with you.

A little preparation saves time. Keep the vehicle on site for the whole fitting, with its tank reachable and reasonably clean. For taxis, choose a day without bookings; for a bus, a rest day or the gap between runs. Keep registration papers handy and have someone present who knows the routes and who should receive alerts. Send a photo of the tank and filler beforehand so the probe length can be planned.

On fitting day the executive inspects the tank, confirms its material and the fuel type, and decides the probe length. An opening is made in the upper face, the probe is cut to depth, bolted and sealed. Then the FMB920 is wired to the vehicle and paired with the sensor, through a cable for Omnicomm or Bluetooth for the two wireless models. Calibration comes last, tying sensor readings to actual litres.

Before leaving, the executive enters the vehicle in Trakzee Premium, hands over the phone and computer login and shows the live level and alerts working. Payment is collected in full at fitting, or through the token-amount COD route available outside Bhopal. Several vehicles can be fitted on one visit, which keeps the travel share low.

A jeep's tank, a probe and a phone: how the level reaches you

Think of a taxi jeep that runs the Amarkantak hill road. Its diesel tank sits under the body. On fitting day an opening is made in the top of that tank, and a probe, cut to the tank's depth, is lowered in and sealed. The probe is capacitive: the more of it the diesel covers, the more its electrical value shifts. That shift is the level, measured continuously without any float or moving part.

The probe passes its reading to the Teltonika FMB920 tracker in the cab, through a wire for Omnicomm or by Bluetooth for Mercetech and Mielta Fantom. The tracker already logs where the jeep is, how fast it moves and whether the engine is on. It joins the fuel value to those facts and sends the lot through the Airtel SIM to Trakzee Premium. Each fuel number therefore comes with a time and a place.

On the owner's phone the tank becomes a graph and a figure in litres. On the climb, the line slopes down faster; on the descent, more slowly. A refill at a pump in Pendra jumps up and is stamped with date and location. A sudden fall while the jeep is parked shows as a step down and sends an alert. Reports then turn the same line into consumption per trip, per day or per hundred kilometres. A jeep that suddenly needs more per hill trip than its partner stands out at once.

Calibration is what links the graph to real diesel. During fitting, the probe's signal is matched to known quantities in that exact tank. If the tank is changed or welded, or the probe removed, calibration must be repeated before the figures can be trusted again.

Taxi owner, booking clerk and accountant: separate logins for one GPM fleet

Even a small Pendra Road taxi business usually has three people interested in fuel. The owner wants to know whether any vehicle is costing more than it should. The person who takes bookings wants to know which jeep has enough diesel for the next hill trip. Whoever keeps the accounts wants refill dates and amounts that match pump bills. Trakzee Premium lets the owner add separate user logins, so each person reads the same record and the main password stays private.

The owner looks at exceptions. A quick evening check of sudden drops, refills and consumption per vehicle is enough. A refill larger than the tank could hold, or a fall while a jeep stood overnight, is noted for a call the next morning. Everything else can be left alone. Over a month the habit shows which vehicles are steady.

The booking clerk works from the live screen. Before sending a jeep on an Amarkantak hire, a look at current litres shows whether it needs filling at Pendra first. If a hire runs late, the halt list beside the fuel line shows whether the vehicle was waiting with the engine running or parked. That makes conversations with customers and drivers easier, because both sides can see the same facts.

The accountant takes the refill entries, each with date, time and litres added, and matches them with pump slips once a week. Any slip without a matching rise is flagged for the owner. Monthly consumption and kilometres per vehicle then sit in the same file as the diesel bills, so the office and the drivers work from one set of numbers instead of two.

Wired or wireless for jeeps, buses and tractors on hill roads

The package costs ₹19,999 with any of the three sensors, so the choice depends on the vehicle, not the price. Ask where the tank sits relative to the tracker, whether the tank is steel or plastic, and whether you mind a sensor battery that needs replacing some day. In GPM, buses, taxi jeeps, pickups and tractors give different answers.

Omnicomm LLS-AF 4 is the wired choice. It takes power from the vehicle, connects to the tracker's analog input by cable and has no internal battery. Its body is sealed to IP69K, it handles −40 to +80 °C, and its probe can be cut for tanks up to about 3 m. A bus that runs to Bilaspur daily, or a truck that will stay in one owner's hands for years, suits this low-maintenance option.

Mercetech and Mielta Fantom use Bluetooth, so no signal cable runs from the tank to the tracker. Mercetech is a capacitive probe that saves wiring on a jeep or van where the route for a cable is awkward. Mielta Fantom has Bluetooth 5.0, a long-life battery of its own, temperature and tilt sensing, an IP67 body and a steel flange with four bolts that fits steel or plastic tanks. It is set up through Mielta's phone app.

The trade-off is the battery: a wireless sensor's cell wears with use and is a consumable outside warranty. BearTech confirms the model and probe length after seeing your tank, and a comparable sensor may be supplied if a listed one is unavailable. If you cannot decide, send the vehicle type and a tank photo on WhatsApp and we will suggest one.

Three GPM vehicles over three years: what the numbers come to

Start with a single vehicle. The complete package costs ₹19,999 for year one and includes the FMB920 tracker, one fuel sensor of your choice, fitting with calibration, a Trakzee Premium login, an Airtel SIM and a year of warranty with AMC. From year two the renewal is ₹3,000 per vehicle per year. One vehicle therefore adds up to ₹19,999, then ₹22,999, then ₹25,999 over three years, which match the 2-year and 3-year plan prices.

Now a modest GPM example: a Pendra Road owner with two taxi jeeps and one pickup. Year one is 3 × ₹19,999 = ₹59,997. Renewal for three vehicles is 3 × ₹3,000 = ₹9,000 a year. The running total is ₹68,997 after year two and ₹77,997 after year three, or ₹25,999 per vehicle over the period, whichever sensor each vehicle carries.

Add the visit. Because the district is outside Bhopal, the executive's travel and stay are paid by the client and quoted before ordering. Fitting all three vehicles in one trip spreads that cost, so plan them together. A vehicle with two tanks, or one needing an extra probe, is priced separately. If you add a fourth vehicle later, it simply follows the same per-vehicle figures.

Will it save money? Nobody can say in advance, because that depends on what the records reveal. Set the three-year figure beside a few months of your own diesel bills and the time spent arguing about slips. If the records expose refills that do not match, heavy idling on the hill or an engine that needs work, the cost is justified; if not, you have firm evidence that your vehicles are run carefully. A fall in the tank line near Marwahi: checking it calmly, step by step

A sudden-drop alert says that the level fell faster than ordinary running explains. It is a reason to look, not a conclusion. Open the map first and find where the vehicle stood. A pickup parked on a sloping village track near Marwahi and a bus standing in a Gaurela yard raise different questions. Note the time, the place and the levels before and after.

Next, check the everyday causes. Was the vehicle tilted on a slope or a bend? Had it just come off a rough forest track where diesel sloshes? Was fuel added from a can, or the tank opened for repair? Look at the whole trip graph, not only the alert. A dip that springs back usually comes from movement or slope. A drop that holds while the engine is off deserves a question. If the vehicle had just been refuelled, wait for the diesel to settle and read again.

Speak with the driver while the event is fresh. Ask what happened at that halt, then compare his account with the pump slip, the route playback and the ignition record. Remember that signal may have dropped on a forest stretch, which can make a graph look odd until the data catches up. Keep the conversation fair and neutral; most answers are ordinary.

Write the outcome down: vehicle, date, place, explanation and action. Over a season the notes show whether events gather around one vehicle, one route or one parking spot. Be clear about the boundary of the tool. It measures and warns; it cannot lock the tank or physically keep anyone from the fuel. Locking caps and sensible parking rules remain the owner's part.

Frequently asked questions

Fuel sensor in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi: questions answered

What does a fuel monitoring system cost in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi?

₹19,999 per vehicle plus GST for the full package: Teltonika FMB920 tracker, one fuel level sensor, fitting and calibration, Trakzee Premium software, an Airtel SIM and one year of warranty with AMC. Omnicomm, Mercetech and Mielta Fantom are priced the same. Renewal from the second year is ₹3,000 annually. Travel and stay for the executive's visit to GPM are billed to you, and you are told the figure before ordering.

Is there a BearTech team in Gaurela or Pendra?

No. BearTech has no local team in the district. It works from Bhopal and has been in vehicle tracking since 2014. An executive travels from Bhopal to fit and calibrate the sensor at your vehicle. Travel and stay are charged to the client, and the amount is shared with you before you order, so nothing comes as a surprise.

Can I pay COD for a GPM order?

Yes. Outside Bhopal, which includes Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, a token-amount COD route is available. Otherwise the full amount is paid at fitting. Let us know your preference when you enquire, and the quote will state it. BearTech does not accept returns, refunds or exchanges, so confirm the sensor and tank details before paying anything.

How long will delivery take?

Allow about 2 working days for delivery, stock permitting. The fitting visit is then arranged with you, since the executive travels from Bhopal. Taxi owners can pick a day without bookings and bus operators a rest day, so tell us which dates suit you and we will plan the visit around them.

How accurate is the level on hill roads?

About 95% on a sound tank after proper fitting and calibration. On slopes and bends the diesel shifts, and rough tracks make it slosh, so the line wobbles while the vehicle moves. Tank shape and diesel quality also play a part. For judging a refill or a loss, compare readings taken while parked on level ground.

Will the sensor stop drivers from taking diesel?

No. It records the level, logs each refill with time and place, and sends an alert when the level falls sharply. It cannot lock the tank or physically stop anyone. You get a dated record to compare with pump slips and the driver's account, so any question you ask is based on facts rather than a hunch.

What is the yearly cost after the first year?

From year two, renewal is ₹3,000 per vehicle per year to keep the software login and Airtel SIM active. Over three years one vehicle totals ₹25,999, first-year package included, the same as the 3-year plan. If renewal lapses, live data may stop, so note the date and call 97526 44035 before it falls due.

Can my booking clerk and accountant have their own logins?

Yes. Trakzee Premium allows extra users, each with a separate login. A booking clerk can see levels and trips, and an accountant can pull refill and mileage reports, without using the owner's password. All vehicles stay under one account on phone and computer. Tell us who needs access when you order.

Who pays for a wireless sensor's battery?

You do, when it needs replacing. The batteries in Mercetech and Mielta Fantom are consumables and fall outside the one-year warranty. Omnicomm LLS-AF 4 is wired to the vehicle and has no battery at all. If you prefer nothing to replace later, the wired sensor is the simpler choice for your vehicle.

Can I return the sensor later?

No. BearTech takes no returns, refunds or exchanges. To avoid a mismatch, we ask for tank capacity, tank material and a photo of the opening before ordering, and confirm the model and probe length after seeing the vehicle. A comparable model may be supplied if a listed one is unavailable. Please clear all questions first.

What details do you need for a GPM quote?

Send the vehicle type and number, tank capacity, tank material, fuel type and the place the vehicle is based, such as Gaurela, Pendra, Pendra Road or Marwahi. Include a photo of the tank opening. WhatsApp or call 97526 44035; the support line for after-fitting help is 99937 84035. We reply with the sensor, probe length, visit cost and total.

Is a fuel monitoring system useful for jeeps on the Amarkantak run?

Yes, if the jeep runs on diesel and its tank lets the probe enter from above. The record shows how much each hill hire uses, refills along the way and any sharp fall during halts at the top. Jeep tanks vary in shape, so send a photo first, and we will confirm the sensor and probe length.

What if the signal drops in the forest?

The tracker uses an Airtel SIM. On forest and hill stretches where signal is weak, the live view pauses and fills in after the network returns. A gap on the map is only a coverage break, not a fault or a sign of wrongdoing. Tell us which stretches of your routes lose phone signal, so we can explain what to expect.

Can it be used on a tractor, a generator or a car?

Tractors usually work if the diesel tank has an opening the probe can enter from the top; send a photo first. For a generator, a stationary tank, a car or a two-wheeler, ask before ordering, because the package is built around a vehicle tracker and a diesel tank. We prefer to say no rather than sell something unsuitable.

What does fuel monitoring cost in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi?

The package is ₹19,999 per vehicle (GST extra) for one year, with the Teltonika FMB920 GPS tracker, one fuel level sensor, Trakzee Premium software and an Airtel SIM. Two-year and three-year plans are ₹22,999 and ₹25,999. Renewal is ₹3,000 per year.
