Boom Barrier Vehicle Entry/Exit

Quick answer

A boom barrier is a motorised arm at a vehicle gate that lifts on a remote, card reader or ANPR signal, giving controlled entry and exit. BearTech supplies, installs and supports boom barriers across Madhya Pradesh; the price depends on lane width, arm length and how the barrier is opened, so the team quotes after a site survey.

A manually operated gate — a guard lifting a pole or pushing open a gate for every vehicle — is slow at peak hours and depends entirely on the guard being present and attentive. A boom barrier automates that: the arm raises and lowers on a control signal (a remote, a card reader, or an ANPR camera), giving controlled, faster vehicle entry/exit without removing the option of a guard overseeing it.

BearTech supplies and installs Mantra MR-06 boom barrier packages (typically ₹65,000-₹2.2 lakh depending on configuration), sized to the lane width and traffic volume of the site, and can integrate them with RFID or ANPR so recognised vehicles pass automatically.

This fits factories, corporate campuses, gated residential communities and any site with a defined vehicle entry/exit point where traffic volume or security policy justifies automating the barrier.

Measuring your gate before choosing a barrier

The barrier must match the lane. During the survey, BearTech measures the lane width, checks for overhead obstructions such as a gate arch or tree branches, and notes the ground surface where the base will be fixed. It looks at where vehicles queue, whether entry and exit share a lane, and where the guard cabin is. A power point near the barrier and a route for any control cable are also checked. If you want to prepare, take photos of the gate from both sides and measure the lane width yourself, so the first discussion can already narrow the options.

Choosing how the barrier will be opened

Barriers can be opened in different ways, and the choice shapes the whole setup. A guard-held remote is the simplest and keeps a person in control of every vehicle. RFID tags on regular vehicles let staff and residents pass without waiting for the guard. An ANPR camera reads the number plate and can open the barrier for known vehicles while holding others. Many sites combine methods, such as RFID for residents and remote control for visitors. Discuss also what should happen during a power cut, so vehicles are not stuck inside or outside the gate.

Installation day and handover to your guards

On installation day, the base is fixed, the barrier is mounted and wired, and the chosen controls are connected and tested. BearTech checks that the arm stops correctly and that each control method works before handing over. Your guards should be present for a short training on daily use, manual operation and what to do if the barrier does not respond. Keep a written note of the support number, 97526 44035, at the guard cabin. Discuss support terms for the barrier while the order is placed, so everyone knows how future service will be handled.
