Cold Chain & Temperature-Sensitive Transport Tracking

Quick answer

Cold chain transport tracking, as BearTech offers it, records the route, stops and delivery timing of refrigerated or insulated vehicles on TB Track, with an optional 4G or Wi-Fi camera for the cargo area. It does not measure temperature. GPS trackers start from ₹2,500 (BT400) with SIM and free installation for wired models.

Pharma, dairy, and perishable-food transporters don't just need to know where a vehicle is — they need proof of the route and timing, because a delayed or diverted delivery can mean spoiled stock. A GPS-based cold-chain tracking approach layers route and geofence monitoring for refrigerated or insulated vehicles onto the same tracking backbone used for any commercial fleet.

BearTech tracks the vehicle's location, stops and route timing with a BT-series tracker, and can add a 4G live or WiFi vehicle camera so the loading bay and cargo area are visible on demand — giving a transporter a location trail plus visual confirmation, without needing a specialised (and expensive) temperature-logging-only system.

This is a practical fit for distributors and transporters who are asked to prove when and where a delivery vehicle stopped, rather than businesses that need certified in-transit temperature logging — for that, a dedicated temperature probe integration would need to be scoped separately.

Building a delivery record for perishable loads

The aim is a clear record of when each load left, where it stopped and when it arrived. After the tracker is fitted and the vehicle added to TB Track, draw geofences around the plant or cold store, each regular distributor and any mandatory halt point. Every entry and exit then creates an alert with a time. Ignition alerts show when the vehicle was started and switched off, and route playback shows the full journey for any date. When a buyer questions a delay, the transport team can pull up that day's record instead of relying on the driver's account.

What this setup does and does not include

BearTech's package for this use is a BT-series GPS tracker with SIM, the TB Track app and web software, and free installation for wired models, with an optional 4G live or Wi-Fi vehicle camera. It does not include a temperature probe, so it cannot show the reading inside the body or log it for compliance. It also does not control the refrigeration unit. If your buyer or regulator needs recorded temperature data, mention it at the enquiry stage so it can be discussed as a separate requirement rather than assumed to be part of the GPS tracking setup.

Dairy, pharma and produce routes in Madhya Pradesh

Typical users include milk collection vehicles running from village centres to a chilling plant, pharma distributors moving stock between Indore and district stockists, and produce traders sending loads from a mandi to city buyers. In Bhopal, BearTech's own team fits the trackers; the Indore team covers Indore, Pithampur, Dewas and Ujjain; other districts use tie-up installers. For routes that leave the state, tie-up installers in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Rajasthan can fit trackers on vehicles based there.
